Animal Communication
with Carol Gurney
Animal Communicator, Author

Sponsoring a HeartTalk Program® Workshop

Carol is consistently ranked as one of the best teachers in the nation in the field of animal communication, and is a popular presenter at many animal conferences and associations worldwide.

Carol’s style of teaching is simple, clear, and down-to-earth.  She is a gifted teacher with a gentle and caring soul, and she makes it easy to learn how to communicate with animals In a safe, supportive, and loving environment. Her workshops are incredible to experience.  It was so much more than I ever would have expected from any workshop…It was truly a heart-opening experience.” – Linda Gray, actress

Carol conducts over 50 workshops throughout the country and overseas and these workshops are sponsored by  clients or by those interested in the subject of telepathic communication with animals.

Benefits to Sponsor

"Being a sponsor allows you to build relationships with others whose interests are compatible.  The depth of the training program that Carol offers and the class’s available appeal to many different individuals." - Kim Sanders

Along with meeting a host of new friends sponsors also may receive discounted class fees as detailed in the Pricing, Payments and Refunds section

Carol offers many different workshops for you and/or your organization. The workshops teach you that communicating with animals is something we all can do. The program usually starts with the initial two-day workshop which is normally held over a weekend.  Some sponsors choose to offer more than 2 days of workshops; and as you review further on, you will see how each workshop can be customized to fit your needs.

One of the most important differences in Carol’s method of teaching is that she limits the students to an audience of 30 people maximum.  This is an important aspect of her teaching when promoting the workshop to potential participants.  She feels it is vital for people to receive one-on-one attention to assure that every single individual is meeting with success.  Carol loves to speak to large groups of people, but knows that this is not a suitable or conducive environment for true learning of telepathic communication with animals.

The following is a general outline of how workshops are organized:

DAY ONE: Saturday:
Introductory Animal Communications Workshop

  • Learn the essentials of telepathic communication.
  • Practice exercises in how to relax and quiet the mind.
  • Learn how to "listen," allowing words, feelings and images to enter your mind through your heart.
  • Send and receive information telepathically and communicate practice with each other.
  • Spend several hours communicating with animals telepathically in person.
(At least two, maybe three animals are needed. Call for information: 818-597-1154
    )

DAY TWO: Sunday:
Advanced Animal Communication Workshop

  • Improve and practice telepathic skills learned the day before.
  • Learn to communicate with animals long distance.
  • Do a series of exercises to improve telepathic and intuitive skills with all species.
  • Learn problem-solving techniques.
  • (Participants will need to bring pictures of their animals, and those animals they know well)

On the second day, we use the information from the first day to enhance your initial experience and practical application and to solidify and expand your knowledge of animal communication. The skills you acquire in this program will prove invaluable in your personal encounters with animals. Your proficiency in animal communication will add a new dimension to your life and give you a tool to improve the lives of countless beings that share this earth.

There are many ways to incorporate other classes into your workshop program. Carol can customize workshops to fit the needs of your group.  For example:

Death and Dying Workshop:

This workshop explores how to better understand and be prepared for the death of animals. All the questions you've wanted to ask will be addressed: how animals view death, where do they go, how will you know when they are ready and will they need assistance? All of the aspects of the dying process will be covered including the technical, emotional, physical and spiritual elements. Learn to understand the grieving process and its importance. Participants need to bring photos of their animals who have passed, so they can experience reconnecting with their animals once again in spirit form.

Additional Workshops

Some sponsors choose to have Carol do a 3-day Body Balancing Workshop or her 4-Part Comprehensive Training Program.  In addition, a 2-hour lecture can be scheduled the night before the workshop that can include those people who are interested or merely curious about animal communication but unable to attend that workshop.  Please see the Workshop page on the website for detailed course descriptions.

Q. What does a Sponsor do?

Numbers Required and Location:
  • You would host the workshop in your home or at another location that can comfortably hold 30 people for both days (minimum 16 and maximum 34 students). It is nice to have the workshop outdoors, weather permitting. Of course, in case of inclement weather, the workshop will need to be indoors.  If it is necessary to rent a facility to accommodate 30 participants (plus 3 animals for the first day), Carol will pay for the use of this facility, ideally not to exceed $300 for both days.  This expense will be paid from the registration fees.  Please Note:  No animals are required for the second day.  Three animals are required for the first day’s workshop.  This may make a difference when choosing a location for each day’s training.  Sponsors have found different type facilities available for the workshops, such as hotels, recreation rooms, churches, training centers, private homes, schools.

  • For an indoor location, the room needs to have an even temperature, and be in a quiet location without outside intrusion. Chairs need to be provided, organized in a circle, as well as a few tables to display Carol’s products. Sponsors would provide hot and cold water, herbal teas, healthy snacks such as fruit, nuts, sugarless cookies, etc.

  • The sponsor will arrange to have 3 well-behaved animals to practice with on the first day. These animals can belong to the participants or sponsor.

Registration
  • Sponsor will need to have a minimum of 16 people paid and registered 8 weeks in advance of the workshop in order for Carol’s airline reservations to be made within budget.

  • To make it easier for you, Carol’s office handles all the registration questions and fees for the workshops.  Once the workshop location is determined, the sponsor is responsible for sending a set of directions to the facility where the workshop will be held along with neighboring hotels and rates to Carol’s office at either 3715 N. Cornell Road, Agoura, CA 91301 or cgurney@earthlink.net.  In turn, when people register for the workshop, Carol’s office will send directions and the list of hotels to each participant confirming their reservation.  Carol’s office will e-mail the sponsor a continuing list of registrants with their name, e-mail address, and phone number, indicating whether each person has signed up for one or two days, and status of payment.

Travel
  • The sponsor needs to pick Carol up from, and deliver her back to, the airport.  Carol's office will advise the sponsor of all flight arrangements, times, etc.  The sponsor also provides Carol with a room in their home, or that of someone they know (usually a co-sponsor) when available.

Q. What Else Do I Need To do?

Marketing and Promotion

Throughout many years of conducting workshops, Carol has found that the following efforts have helped tremendously with the overall success and ease of sponsoring a workshop.  More than anything, the most successful workshops come from “talking to the people” directly as well as advertising.  Promoting by word-of-mouth is still the best way to go.

Once arrangements have been finalized and dates selected, Carol’s office will send you a contract outlining your responsibilities and terms of agreement, for your signature.  Carol’s office will also send you a master flyer and copies that can be sent to friends, clients, animal organizations you know and distributed to various places where you might find interested people.  Because Carol’s clients live throughout the U.S., the office will send the workshop flyers to those clients who live in the sponsor’s surrounding area.

Past sponsors have found the following checklist to be a helpful tool for all concerned in the successful coordination and promotion of the workshops.  About four months ahead of the workshop, it is beneficial to prepare a list of people with name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address for some of the following business categories in your area.  Sponsors use this list as a guide for people they want to contact and promote the workshop to, and for posting flyers at these establishments.

  • Horse stables

  • Rescue organizations

  • Veterinarian’s offices

  • Holistic practitioners’ offices

  • Pet shops

  • Groomers

  • Dog training facilities

  • Metaphysical stores

  • Pet motels

  • Health food stores

  • Massage Schools

  • Feed stores

  • Local newspapers

  • Holistic newspapers

  • Radio stations

If you would like, you can also send Carol a list of contacts, and in turn, Carol will send you letters of introduction, announcing the workshops (and you as the sponsor) to these organizations so they will be awaiting your call.  Carol has a publicist who will also send out press releases in support of the workshop.

About three months ahead of time, some of our sponsors have done the following as well:
  • Post flyers at internet cafes and coffee houses

  • Post to an Internet Message Board (and anywhere else that animal lovers can be found!).

  • Send e-mail announcements.

Q. What about sponsoring Carol in Europe?

Due to the high costs of travel and limitations on Carol’s schedule, it is crucial to have arrangements finalized 12 weeks months in advance.  In order to limit the cost to everyone involved, we ask that 50% of the cost of the 20 participants be secured 12 weeks in advance.

All European participants can either register through PayPal on Carol’s website or by sending checks directly to the European sponsor.  European sponsors will open a bank account for all deposits to be held.  Because the sponsor will be handling the registration fees, the sponsor will send Carol’s office a weekly list of all of the participants with their e-mail address, workshops registered for, and amounts paid with date paid.  12 weeks prior to the workshops the sponsor will be responsible for transferring 50% of the money, in US dollars only, to Carol’s bank account in the United States.  Carol’s office will advise the sponsor of the title bank and bank account number.  Three weeks prior to the workshop, the remaining balance of the fees will be transferred.

  • A minimum of two workshop days is required for Carol to lead seminars out of town.

  • All registrations and checks are sent to Carol’s office directly by registrants except for European workshops.

  • Sponsor will receive a 100% discount for a 2 day workshop cost in exchange for sponsorship when the minimum number of people (25) is met. Or, a sponsor will receive a 50% discount for a 6-day training program when a minimum of 20 people are met excluding themselves

  • There are no refunds, unless a workshop is cancelled. Participants can choose to sell their seats to someone else. They can transfer their fee to another workshop at another date or location or can use the money to purchase videos or audiotapes.

Cost per student (United States):

  • Lecture: $40 per student

  • 1 Day: $175 if received 8 weeks in advance; $200 thereafter and minimum of 25 participants

  • 2 Day: $325 for 2 days, if received 8 weeks in advance; $350 thereafter and minimum of 25 participants.

  • 6-Day Training Program: $1500 per person, if received 8 weeks in advance; $1550 thereafter and minimum of 12 and maximum of 24 participants.

  • Lecture: $40 per attendee 7-9 PM

  • 1-Day: $225 with 25- 34 participants

  • 2-Day: $400 and 25- 34 participants

  • 6-Day Training Program: $1500 per person and minimum of 12 and maximum of 24 participants
